Terms of Use for YourTimeline

1. General

These terms of use apply to the use of YourTimeline (“the App”), a digital application that allows users to track, analyze, and share their health data with healthcare providers such as doctors and therapists. By using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Purpose of the App

The App enables users to:

  • Record health information (such as symptoms, treatments, medications, moods, etc.);
  • Share this information with healthcare providers to support better care;
  • Gain insight into their own health history and wellbeing trends.

3. Processing of Health Data

Health data are special categories of personal data and are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, the Dutch Additional Provisions for Data Processing in Healthcare Act (Wabvpz).

We process this data solely:

  • With the explicit consent of the user;
  • For the purpose of health monitoring and improvement;
  • In a secure, transparent, and proportionate manner.

4. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your data, including:

  • End-to-end encryption of communication and storage;
  • Authentication and authorization mechanisms;
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability scans.

5. Sharing Data

Data are only shared with third parties (such as healthcare providers) when:

  • You have explicitly given consent;
  • It is necessary for the provision of care;
  • It is legally required (for example, reporting obligations or court orders).

6. User Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the data we process about you;
  • Have incorrect or incomplete data corrected;
  • Have your data deleted (“right to be forgotten”), unless legal retention periods apply;
  • Withdraw your consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

7. User Responsibility

As a user, you are responsible for:

  • The accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the data you enter;
  • Carefully managing your login credentials and access to the App;
  • Consciously and thoughtfully sharing data with third parties via the App.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the App, including the software, texts, images, logos, and databases, are held by the developer of YourTimeline or its licensors. It is not permitted to use, copy, or distribute (parts of) the App without written permission.

9. Liability

Although we strive to offer the App safely and reliably, we accept no liability for:

  • Loss of data due to technical failures;
  • Incorrect interpretation of data by users or third parties;
  • Medical decisions made solely on the basis of information from the App.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a healthcare provider in case of health complaints.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to amend these terms. In the event of significant changes, you will be notified via the App or by email. If you continue to use the App after the amendment, you agree to the revised terms.
